Insider Trade Screener

The Lynx MI Screener is a powerful filtering tool that lets you search and sort through thousands of SEC Form 4 insider transactions. Build custom queries to find trades matching your exact investment criteria — from minimum trade value to specific sectors, insider roles, and conviction thresholds.

Available Screening Filters

The screener supports filtering across multiple dimensions simultaneously. You can filter by ticker symbol or company name, set minimum and maximum transaction values (e.g., only show trades above $100,000), select specific transaction types (open-market purchases, option exercises, or gift transactions), choose insider roles (CEO, CFO, Director, VP, 10% Owner), and set conviction score thresholds. Results are displayed in a sortable table format with columns for each data point, and you can export results as CSV for further analysis in your own tools.

Screening Strategies

Experienced insider trading analysts use the screener to execute specific research strategies. For example, filtering for CEO purchases above $500,000 with conviction scores above 75 isolates the highest-signal trades — executives risking meaningful personal capital when the AI model rates the trade as highly informative. Another popular strategy is screening for cluster buys: multiple insiders at the same company purchasing within a 7-day window, which academic literature has shown to be one of the strongest predictive signals in insider trading data.

The screener also helps identify unusual activity patterns. Filtering for directors who rarely trade but suddenly make large purchases can surface exceptional opportunities, as infrequent traders who break their pattern often have strong informational motivation.
